Kelsey Berreth: Missing Colorado Woman's Fiancé Arrested On Criminal Charges Following Disappearance12/21/2018
Kelsey Berreth's fiancé is now the main suspect in the missing Colorado woman's disappearance, and reports indicate he's being criminally charged.
According to Denver Post, Colorado woman Kelsey Berreth, 29, went missing on Thanksgiving afternoon while allegedly on a grocery errand. The source reports Kelsey was seen on surveillance around 12:05 p.m., on November 22, entering a Safeway store with her 1-year-old daughter who was in a baby carrier. Yet, interestingly enough, Berreth's fiancé — Patrick Frazee — told authorities he had just picked up their daughter, Kaylee, from Kelsey that afternoon.
Berreth's mother, Cheryl, told the public during a recent press conference that Kelsey wasn't "the kind that runs off." "This is completely out of character," the concern mom noted.
The Denver Post reports Kelsey Berreth's phone was pinged nearly 800 miles away from her house, in Gooding, Idaho. The pings were the result of text messages sent to Kelsey's fiancé and her employer, Doss Aviation. According to Patrick Frazee, Berreth last texted him on November 25, the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Likewise, that's the same day her employer received its text from Kelsey's phone. The source says the text told the employer Berreth was planning to take a week off.
Kelsey Berreth's Fiancé Arrested
Rob McCallum, spokesman for the Colorado State Court Administrator’s Office, posted to Twitter on December 21 regarding Kelsey's fiancé.
The arrest warrant executed this morning on Patrick Frazee is sealed. First court appearance info will be posted here once docketed.
In a follow-up tweet, McCallum received confirmation there would not be video allowed in court. "The Court has denied the EMC requests for today's 3:30 pm advisement of Patrick Frazee," the court official mentions. "No cameras in court. No cell phones either."
Reportedly, no bail has been set for Patrick Frazee in the Kelsey Berreth case. He's being charged with first-degree murder, according to court records. The Denver Post says a multi-state search was conducted for the missing woman after her mother reported her missing on December 2. Once Frazee's story became suspicious, Woodland Park authorities executed a search warrant of his property, a 35-acre ranch in Crystal Peak Ranches subdivision, near Florissant. However, they were unable to discover Kelsey Berreth's body, even while using a backhoe.
