Leave it to Donald Trump to take credit for something ALREADY SCHEDULED TO HAPPEN SINCE 1992.
In Trump's "grand announcement" via Twitter, he wanted everyone to think his administration is the bee's knees.
In reality, his tweet is a load of crap. Yet his followers, known for not researching a d**n thing EVER, are eating it up.
Congress Passed A Law Dictating JFK Files' Declassification
In 1992, Congress actually passed the Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act, according to Quartz.
Under this law, the files were to stay sealed for 25 years. Then, they would be declassified. So, add 25 years to 1992, and here we are ... good ol' 2017.
Donald J. Trump has absolutely zero to do with the files' release. They were going to be declassified on October 26, regardless of his narcissistic Twitter announcement.
Trump is nothing more than a master manipulator of feeble-minded masses.
Yet, Here's Where Donald Trump Does Come Into Play
Apparently, Trump has the power to "block" the files' release; that's what he means by "allowing" the JFK files to be released.
Likewise, as notes Washington Post, the National Security Council mentioned that various government agencies requested some of the files to remain restricted.
With that in mind, who knows. Maybe some of the files will be restricted; maybe all of them will be released.
I guess the honored request all depends on who's worshiping Donald more.
All in all, feel free to share your thoughts about Donald Trump's totally unnecessary, narcissistic boast in the comments below or via the Facebook page.
